How can I indicate which touchpoint a contact prefers? #
A contact has multiple touchpoints of the same (sub)type (e.g., multiple private email addresses). You want to designate which touchpoint is preferred for communication purposes. Follow the steps below to do this.
Click on the touchpoint or the 3 dots behind the touchpoint to edit the details.
Check the box for "Preference" and click "Save.
The indication is saved and the asterisk for the touchpoint is automatically colored in.
Notice:
If only 1 touchpoint of a specific (sub)type is available (e.g. 1 private email address), this automatically becomes the preferred touchpoint.
This indication only applies to indicating a preferred touchpoint within the same (sub)type. It does not indicate the channel through which a contact prefers to receive communication. Communication preferences can be specified via permissions. See also Add Permission.
