How do you merge duplicate contacts via myMip? #
You find a contact (company, person...) multiple times and want to merge them into 1 contact. Follow the steps below to do this.
Go to DQ module #
Log in to myMip andgo to the DQ module.
You can search for the contact using the search bar.
Select contacts #
In the search results, click 2 contacts you want to merge.
The two contacts are added as URN 1 and URN 2.
If you know the URNs of the contacts in advance, you can also enter them manually in the 'URN 1' and 'URN 2' fields.
Contact data is retrieved and displayed.
Please note:You can merge a maximum of two contacts at a time. If you want to deduplicate multiple contacts, repeat the steps.
Merge contacts #
Click on the selection bar Merge options.Depending on the data available for the contacts, you can choose the level at which you want to merge:
- Relationship details: merge 2 relationships.
- Individual data: merge 2 individuals.
- Social entity data: merge two social entities.
Select the desired level.
The blue dots indicate which data will be retained. You can also see these under Merge resultsIf desired, you can select data from the other URN to copy.
When the result is correct, click on Merge.
You then get 3 options:
- Cancel: cancels the merge. The contacts remain separate.
- Merge and go to result: merges the contacts and immediately opens the result.
- Merge: merges the contacts and you remain in the DQ module.
Please note: you cannot undo a merge. Therefore, always check carefully that you are merging the correct contacts before confirming.
