You may find that a selection cannot be made through MIP Target but via an external tool such as Mailchimp, Active Campaign, Flexmail, Copernica, Klavyo, Actito, and so on. Follow the steps below to make this happen.

1: Check the Connection to the External Tool

Make sure your external tool is properly connected to MIP. This is a necessary condition before you can proceed with synchronizing your selection.

2: Start a New Action

  • Open MIP and navigate to the section where you can start a new action. This can be done either through the Engager or the Calendar.

  • If necessary, refer to the "Setting Up a New Action" manual for detailed instructions on how to initiate an action.

3: Select the External Tool at Gateway

  1. Go to Part 2 of the action design process.

  2. At the "Gateway" step, choose as an option the connected tool you want to use (Copernica, for example).

4: Synchronization of the selection

  1. Perform the selection as you would in MIP.

  2. While running the selection, the export is automatically synchronized to the selected external tool.

Notice:

  1. The name of the target group in the external tool will be the same as the name of the action in MIP. Make sure the name of the action is clear and recognizable.
  2. Keep in mind that the selection and afterwards the sync may take some time. Always plan the start of execution (scheduling) slightly earlier than the time you need the selection in the external tool.
