How do I indicate through MyMip that someone has died?

You want to indicate that a contact has died. The person will then continue to exist in Mip, but will be excluded from communication by default. Follow the steps below to do this.

Contact search

  • Log into MyMip.

  • Search for the contact using the search field at the top of the page or the search option in the contacts module. See also Search for contact.

  • Under the contacts module, navigate to the "Relationships" tab.

Adjust status

  • Click on the three dots next to the individual and choose "Update Individual's Data.

  • A screen appears on the right.

  • Click on the drop-down list under "Status" and choose "Deceased.

  • Click "Edit" to save the changes.

  • After saving, the URN is crossed out (invalid).
